Commercial/Light Gauge Steel
Prefabrication and virtual designing gives you a reassurance on meeting your cycle times.
Light gauge steel is a critical component within the commercial industry and with today's demands these projects need to be efficient and precise with field changes being at a bare minimum while maintaining the overall cycle time of the project. CG Visions can convert your architectural and structural drawings into approval, field use and shop fabrication drawings for your LGS projects to meet these demands. Because the structure is modeled in 3D, the integrity, fit and alignment of all framing members can be verified before one coil of steel is placed on the roll former, saving the headaches of redesign and change orders. From the foundation tie-downs to the ridge, CG Visions can create documentation to expedite the manufacturer and assembly of your LGS structure.
LGS Wall Panels
Wall panel design incorporates the architectural form and the structural requirements into a simplified wall layout plan. The layout plans are complete with:
- Slab outline plans with hold down locations for shear transfer
- Wall panel layouts with locating dimensions (Bearing and Non-bearing)
- Wall panel elevations for engineering review and verification
- Assembly notes and general information including wall heights, stud schedule and typical opening heights.
The fabrication documentation includes:
- Panel shop drawings
- Cut lists
- Materials lists - available in many different formats and customizable for your specifications
LGS Truss Layout
CG Visions will create floor and roof truss layout plans from your existing documentation. These plans include:
- Overall view of the roof system with pitch markers
- Roof truss layout plan labeled and dimensioned to your standard Truss envelopes
- Blank sections for your connection details
- Actual truss design available, but on a limited basis
- Engineering stamp not included
LGS Floor and Rafter Framing
Floor and Roof framing layouts reflect the architectural specifications and structural requirements. These plans include:
- Framing member layouts, dimensioned and labeled
- Cut lists and schedules
- Materials lists
- Section views if necessary
